This place is among a number of different rentals in the same building, but still feels private. Check in was seamless, and there was great communication before, during, and after check in. The stay itself was incredibly comfortable. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and spacious. The small kitchen area was great for preparing fruit and snacks for the stay. Plenty of towels were provided for showering and cleanliness needs. They have a Keurig which is great if you want to bring your own cups. They responded to me a little bit later at night when we could t find coffee for the next morning and helped us out so we had a properly caffeinated morning. Overall, I would recommend to anyone that wants to stay near State St and wants a comfortable stay with a hospitable host!

Our stay was great- the location was perfect, everything is within walking distance. Street parking was easy to find during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the place had everything we needed for a few nights stay. Overall, the location is the real star of the show! We would definitely stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here for one night for a wedding we had in town, drove up from San Diego and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of parking right out front on the street! This is a studio apartment, but the size was perfect for getting ready, and our one night stay in town. Easily walkable to all of the happenings on State Street, so I would call this a perfect location for a visit to Santa Barbara!

Great Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Valerio (6D).The location is great; we walked to the ocean, restaurants, museums and the library. We were a bit concerned about the size of the space because our stay was for 2 weeks. Even though the unit is small, it is very well designed and we had more than enough space and had everything we needed. The staff was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Convenient location. Very simple access. Cute and cuddly. Negative: The view from the bed to the windows. The main window by the bed is of the neighbors wall and roof. Not much for a view. However the window directly over the sink looks right into the neighbors living room. So if you’re in bed, better be dressed or covered. Better to keep the blinds closed.

Very excited about this find in Santa Barbara
My mom and I had a really lovely stay at our Casa Valeria unit. We loved the location and the access to downtown. The street is very quiet and relaxed which was ideal. Running a bath felt really nice and the sheets and comforter on the bed are great. I found the mattress to be too soft and wished some filtered water was supplied because the tap water is very chlorinated. The size was great overall and the television was impressive! Everything was incredibly clean and the room was very charming. I would certainly go back!

Easy comfortable stay
Despite its size, it has everything you need to enjoy a comfortable night close to downtown SB. Parking, easy and free. Check in, easy. I like the auto door lock, felt very secure. Lastly extremely clean. We felt very comfortable staying here and if we come back to SB we will come back here.

We were also only 35 min walk from the beach, but most of it was on pedestrian only paths so it felt very enjoyable. We loved the private patio and, and the response time from the management company was exceptional! They were so friendly and helpful whenever we texted them! We would absolutely stay here again!

First, I need to talk about our host, they are the best! I made reservation for another unit, when I got there I realized there is no full kitchen (my fault)! I told them I really need a kitchen because I cook for my pup fresh food! Right away the offered me this unit with discount. This unit does not allow dog but they were very accommodating and let us move to this unit right away. Now, the unit itself: the apt is amazing, state of the art! Everything is brand new, you can smell the brand new wood floor! The bed is so comfortable. Everything was super clean! I usually change the sheets and towels with the ones I bring but I felt no need to do that! We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back soon! Great job, host!

The location of this unit was excellent. We did contact Dee for batteries for the remote and the response was quick and efficient. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed being within walking distance of State Street. The unit is tight on space for larger luggage. Two day stay worked out well. The space might have been uncomfortable going into a longer stay. Very clean and well kept.

Beautiful building with different units on the end of the downtown SB off State. Short walk to shops & restaurants. They think of everything here! All the amenities & thoughtful touches they add made our trip so relaxing. They were also very helpful & quick to respond to any messages/calls we had. The only one thing that I can think of that I didn’t care for, was the ppl in the upstairs unit walking around super early in the am. But it wasn’t obnoxious luckily. Overall would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This unit was nice but much smaller than expected and the sound of people walking around upstairs was pretty loud. I stayed here for my wedding and was very cold in the morning while we were getting ready because the heater did not work. When we returned from our wedding we found the door to our unit open and someone had been inside. Part of the reason why I chose an Airbnb over a hotel is for the privacy. I’ve never had someone come into my unit while staying at an Airbnb. I thought we got robbed. Apparently it was a repairman who they failed to mention was coming. Not happy with this experience at all.

There were some issues with the lock on the door, but those were quickly resolved. Unfortunately, the A/C unit was not working properly and was only intermittently shooting out cool air, so we had to open a window at night. Luckily, the weather was generally cool, so it did not ruin the experience.

One expects that a studio with a kitchenette would also have a small table and two chairs, but that is not the case. Instead, the kitchenette unit is larger than it needs to be, and there is but one chair. All in all, this place is suitable for only one person. Very odd design.

I always love to stay in these unites! Great location and very cozy with a comfortable bed and a nice big smart TV with Netflix and other options so no flipping through cable channels. The place is great for single people and couples. Highly recommend !

We loved staying here while going to a concert in SB! Super close to State St and has an IHOP on the corner making it an easy option for breakfast. The apt is exactly like the photos, the bed and linens are super comfy, shower has great water pressure, and the decor details are well thought out.

I give this airbnb a very high rating due to the great design of the place and the well thought out appointments. Everything you need (except my decaf!) and nothing you don't. It's such a thoughtfully designed building with multiple units, but I never heard another person, so it felt very private and quiet. I had the sense that I was completely safe and truly, I breathed a sigh of relief when I layed down on the king sized bed, nestled into the big soft pillows with the super soft extra blanket to keep me warm. COZY is the best word to describe my stay in this minimalist space... the ultimate relaxation to a stressful day. I love the layout of the unit. Small, but perfect. Who is the architect? Inquiring minds would love to know! If I am in Santa Barbara overnight again, I would definitely stay there again. Lovely big and high quality bed, wonderful blankets, good window coverings for privacy, roomy and nice bathroom with a sweet shower/bath. I love the fixtures. The kitchen is just the right size and a perfect little table with two chairs out on the front porch. Excellent spactial design, minimalist, cozy, comfortable.

Comfortable stay! The outside was adorable with a little table to sit at and relax. The inside was simple, modern and comfortable. The bed was huge.. I think it may have been a California king. Slept great. Loved the little mini fridge for convenience. Felt like a hotel stay with the lovely amenities while also feeling the comfort of an apartment/home. Would absolutely stay here again!

What this apartment lacks in square footage is made up for in cleanliness and style. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom small but we just took turns at the sink/mirror. The location was great; a straight shot to Funk Zone. We slept with the air conditioning turned off as the unit was situated directly above the bed and blew down onto us, but with the windows and fresh air coming in, we were very comfortable and it was nice and quiet. The hosts were very responsive and quick to offer dining recommendations and we appreciated the detailed instructions for entry and check-out. I would gladly recommend this place to others coming to Santa Barbara for a short stay.

I used to live down the street from this place so I may be biased, but it's just a great location in Santa Barbara to be close to everything, but still in a lovely neighborhood. The unit itself was immaculate and comfortable. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy in our old hometown.

Pros: The host was very responsive. The location was good and rather close to State St and the beach. Really liked how the unit was decorated. Cons: Could do a little bit better with the cleanliness. There were stains on the sheets and ant traps all over the place. Unit upstairs was quite loud and we could hear their footsteps in the morning.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Valerio and would recommend it to others. There are a few details that would improve the experience and make the accommodations more comfortable. Please see list below: - Put in a dimmer switch for the bedroom and bathroom LED lights - Put hooks in the front entryway - Hang a shelf or a rack in the bathroom to increase counter space - Put a mirror in the bedroom - Umbrella for table and chairs in front, it gets quite hot in the sun - Leave extra garbage bags - Extra dishtowel - Small dish drainer or pad for drying dishes

Mother/ Daughter Mother’s Day getaway!
Great stay at Casa Valerio this past Mother’s Day weekend. Quaint unit with amenities to serve a weekend away. Finding a parking spot was always easy and the neighborhood was quiet. Easy access to amazing restaurants and of course that big beautiful ocean. Easy and timely communication with our hosts prior to and during our stay. Highly recommend!

The room was very clean and had own private relaxing outside area to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning! The only thing that I didn’t like was that they have a late check in at 4pm, but I understand they need time to clean the unit. Other than that, it was great! I’d book again!
