Exceptional Attention to Detail
Prior to arriving, the communication was great. Contactless / keyless entry was well explained and easy. The house was immaculate and beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the location was great. The neighborhood is quiet, 30 minutes to the beach, only a couple miles from Armstrong woods, and central to wineries. This was the most thoughtful and well equipped Air BnB I’ve experienced. Everything was well stocked and labeled. The book of things to do in the area was so entertaining to read. It was obvious the owners took so much care to outfit the house and meet all conceivable needs. Just outstanding all around.

Very stylish and comfortable
This place was just perfect for us, a family of 5. We felt instantly at home. The place has so much character and a great amount of attention to detail. The house set up is great - big kitchen and open living. It feels more spacious than the pictures can portray, We had everything we needed. The home is well planned out - lots of games, ping pong in the covered garage was an extra treat! The kitchen has all you need and extra! And the beds were extremely comfortable. Well done!

If you’re looking for comfort, beauty, spaciousness, and all the amenities, this is your place. So much attention to detail! The beds are comfortable, the linens are soft, the chairs are comfortable, and range from soft to supportive for everyone’s back. The kitchen is wonderfully organized and more than complete. The lighting is excellent, both natural and installed. Quiet and beautiful, it’s the best!

Modern spacious home perfectly situated for touring
A beautiful home with high ceiling, comfortable contemporary furnishings. Very detailed info made finding household items super easy. Location ideal for getting around to Sonoma coast or visiting local wineries. Best to buy groceries in Sonoma before arrival. Bring your hiking boots because Armstrong state park shouldn’t be missed!

Excellent location new amenities in Forrestville.
If you are looking for a central location to Russian River Valley this is it. 10 minutes or less to many amazing wineries and restaurants. Don’t miss the local jewel Canneti Roadhouse Italians in Forestville. We also explored Dry Creek area only 30 mins away.

Comfortable, Convenient, and Cook's dream!
We enjoyed our stay at Somm's Rest. Exactly as advertised, this is a well-laid out home with an open living room/dining room/kitchen set up. The master bedroom with bath was comfortable and the mattress felt new. It easily accommodated 3 couples. The pingpong table in the garage was great fun. The big bonus for us was the well-stocked and well-equipped kitchen. We came prepared to make several gourmet meals and desserts and found what we needed. We were pleased with the assortment of pots and pans, platters, cutting boards, coffee making options, and the best sharp knives I have found at an Airbnb. (We did bring our own an electric hand mixer, microplane, teaspoon set, and measuring cups, which we would not have expected to find.) The location was convenient, with some guests going cycling and others hiking during the day. Lots of options for wine tasting nearby. I will happily return again when it is warm enough to enjoy the patio and go kayaking on the Russian River.

Family Vacay at Simms Rest
Such a restful place to stay, beautiful and equipped for the whole family. My toddler loved the patio and her favorite Disney movie was available on the TV. Huge kitchen that multiple people used at the same time. 20-30 minute drive to the coast and down the street from the River. Definitely recommend!

You'll love this place
This space is beautiful! It is thoughtfully decorated and is large enough to comfortably house multiple people. The kitchen is the heart of this home. It is equipped with everything needed to cook and entertain. I think we were most impressed by how well stocked the kitchen is with large and small items needed to prepare meals. And there were some heated battles at the ping pong table. I would definitely come back. We're thinking of making this an annual celebration at Somms Rest.
